8th Annual Art of Healing

Art of Healing is an annual art auction that is held each spring as a community fundraiser for the South Central Health Care Foundation. Approximately 350 people have attended our past events, with over $20,000 raised each year. The 2015 Art of Healing Auction and Exhibition held in March generated over $21,000. These funds helped cover the cost of events such as the Wellness Wednesday's Community Health Screening Initiative which provided free health screenings throughout the year for hundreds of area residents. Our health care providers found several life threatening conditions during the screenings. The 8th annual Art of Healing will be held in Laurel at Sanderson Farms Corporate Headquarters on Saturday, March 19th at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the community. The evening includes live music, beverages, a large array of food, a silent and a live auction. The expenses of the event are generously covered by community partners with all proceeds from the sale of art and ticket sales going to the South Central Health Care Foundation to cover the cost of free community screenings and future health initiatives.
